We’re Cincinnati-based wedding photographers capturing celebrations across Ohio and destinations worldwide. As best friends of over 20 years and partners behind the camera for more than 14, we bring a deep trust and creative rhythm to every wedding we photograph.

OUR STORY
From Teenagers with Cameras to Full-Time Wedding Photographers
Photography has always been our thing. Amber grew up with a camera around at all times. Her mom is a professional photographer so film scans, albums, and late nights editing were just normal parts of life. When we were 15, we started tagging along, assisting, and shooting beside her, learning everything hands-on from the very beginning.
What started as filing, editing and second shooting quickly turned into something much bigger. We fell in love with telling stories, the artistry of photography, learning how to read a room, finding perfect light, and figuring out how to make people feel confident and comfortable in front of a camera.
That early foundation is what eventually became Kindred Light Studios. An experience rooted in trust and the belief that weddings are about people first, not stiff poses or forced moments.
Now, we photograph weddings in Cincinnati, throughout the Midwest, and wherever our couples take us. No matter the location, we bring the same intentional, people-first approach to every celebration.

MAGGIE
One of my favorite aspects of being a wedding photographer is being able to meet our couples and get to know them. I really love how each wedding is unique and every couple has their "thing." And ultimately, that is my goal; to capture what makes you, YOU. Both Amber and I grew up in the photography industry and it is a vital part of my life.
Before we made photography our full time career, I worked in software and education. Something that many people don’t know about me is that I taught middle school Spanish (and of course did weddings almost every weekend)! With each career that I had, I knew that something was missing. When we decided to make photography our full time career, I really felt like I was where I was supposed to be.
When I'm not working, you will usually find me cuddled up on the couch with my golden retriever, Blueberry and eating take out!

AMBER
I was introduced to photography as a child when my mom founded her own photography studio in Mason, Ohio. Some of my favorite memories are assisting during sessions and developing film in our bathtub long before I realized it would eventually become my career. Being around it from such a young age shaped the way I see the importance of preserving real moments.
One of the most important parts of who I am is being a mom. My daughter, Helen, and my son, Leo, are my whole world. Motherhood has completely deepened my love for photography. The ability to freeze time especially in seasons that move so quickly means everything to me. Capturing memories with my own family, and doing the same for my clients, feels personal and incredibly special.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me with a coffee in hand, wandering through a thrift store looking for hidden gems for you wedding day flat lays.
