Classic and Elegant Wedding at The Cincinnati Club

Some weddings just stick with us, and Emily and Greg’s was one of those unforgettable days. From their emotional first look in Eden Park to their moody and romantic reception at The Cincinnati Club, every moment felt effortlessly beautiful. But beyond the stunning details, what made this wedding extra special was the couple themselves—fun-loving, down-to-earth, and surrounded by an incredible wedding party (seriously, such a fun group!).

We’re so excited to share all the gorgeous details of their day, from their heartfelt vows under the trees to their candlelit reception in one of Cincinnati’s most timeless venues.

Before we dive in, let us introduce ourselves! We’re Kindred Light Studios, Cincinnati wedding photographers who are passionate about capturing love stories—whether they unfold at stunning venues like The Cincinnati Club or a place that’s uniquely you. Getting Ready: A Morning Full of Laughter and Anticipation

Emily spent her morning getting ready at her brother’s house in Norwood, Ohio, surrounded by her closest friends and family. The energy was warm, relaxed, and filled with excitement as everyone helped her prepare for the big day. Meanwhile, Greg was downtown at TownePlace Suites, getting ready with his groomsmen. There’s something about that pre-ceremony energy—the mix of nerves, excitement, and anticipation—that makes these moments so special (and so fun to capture!).

Once everyone was dressed and ready, it was time for one of our favorite parts of the day: the first look.

A First Look to Remember at Eden Park

Emily and Greg chose Eden Park for their first look, and wow—what a perfect spot. They met under a towering pine tree, with the bridge and pond in the background, creating such a romantic and peaceful setting. The second Greg turned around and saw Emily, you could just feel the love between them. They took a quiet moment together, exchanged private vows, and soaked it all in. We were this close to tearing up behind the camera (okay, maybe we did just a little).

After their first look, we stayed at Eden Park for some couple’s portraits before hopping on the party bus and heading to another iconic Cincinnati location for more photos—the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Wedding Party Fun at the Cincinnati Art Museum

The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of our favorite spots for wedding photos (the architecture is just so classic), and Emily and Greg’s wedding party brought all the energy. We took wedding party photos and more couple’s portraits on the grand front steps, capturing a mix of timeless elegance and carefree fun. The best part? The laughter and excitement were nonstop—this group knew how to have a good time, and it made every photo feel so full of life.

With portraits wrapped up, it was time to head to St. Rose Catholic Church for the ceremony. But before walking down the aisle, Emily had one more special moment to share.

A Heartfelt Ceremony at St. Rose Catholic Church

Before the ceremony began, Emily did a first look with her dad, and it was the sweetest thing. There’s something so emotional about father-daughter first looks, and this one was no exception. The love and pride on his face said it all.

Meanwhile, the wedding party was waiting on the party bus—celebrating, laughing, and passing drinks around (truly a group that knew how to make the most of the day!).

The ceremony itself was held inside St. Rose Catholic Church, a breathtaking space with its historic architecture and warm lighting. Emily and Greg exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, sealing their marriage in a ceremony that was both sacred and deeply personal. Afterward, we stayed at the altar for family portraits, capturing those classic, frame-worthy moments before heading to the reception.

And trust us, the reception was incredible.

A Moody and Romantic Reception at The Cincinnati Club

When we arrived at The Cincinnati Club, the Oak Ballroom was set for an evening of pure elegance. The space had such a moody and romantic feel, with candlelit tables, delicate white roses, and airy baby’s breath creating a minimal yet timeless design. The long tables were especially stunning, lined with baby’s breath for a soft and ethereal effect.

At the center of it all was their three-tier vintage-style cake, perfectly complementing the refined atmosphere of the venue. We love how classic wedding cakes are making a comeback, and this one was just perfection.

Once guests found their seats, the evening officially kicked off with heartfelt toasts, first dances, and, of course, an open dance floor (because no wedding is complete without a little partying!). From the first song to the last, everyone was on their feet celebrating Emily and Greg, making it the perfect way to end such a beautiful day.

The Sweetest Ending to a Perfect Day

Looking back, Emily and Greg’s wedding at The Cincinnati Club was everything a wedding should be—elegant, joyful, and filled with love. The classic locations, the intimate moments, the unforgettable party bus crew—it all came together so perfectly.

And as if we weren’t already obsessed with them, Emily and Greg even brought us back necklaces from Greece as souvenirs from their honeymoon (cue all the happy tears!). It’s couples like these that remind us why we love what we do—capturing love stories and building friendships along the way.

Emily and Greg, thank you for trusting us to document your day. We’ll never forget it!

Why Referrals Mean the World to Us

One of the absolute best compliments we can receive as wedding photographers is when a couple refers us to their friends and family. And Emily and Greg? They have sent so many amazing couples our way! (We seriously cannot thank them enough.)

Referrals aren’t just about booking more weddings—they’re about trust, connection, and knowing that we’ve made a real impact. When couples love their experience with us enough to recommend us to the people they care about, it means everything. We pour our hearts into every wedding we capture, and knowing that our couples feel that is the best reward we could ask for.

So to Emily and Greg (and every couple who has ever sent a referral our way), thank you. You make our job the best job in the world.

Are you planning your own Cincinnati Club wedding (or somewhere completely different!) and looking for a photographer to capture your love story? We’d love to chat! Reach out, and let’s create something beautiful together.
